Place water blocks and place this on the same height, it should match exactly to give a bug where you drive on top of gates. The water block you place has to have the correct rotation, so if it doesnt seem to be working, you are placing the water block in the incorrect rotation probably (so try right clicking and placing water till you find the correct rotation), i dont know it's weird. I also made a narrow one with a water block attached

This uses roulette turbo, but many gates work. I just find this pretty with night settings. Place the gate you want connecting with these ones, remove the ones i placed, save as macro and you will have your version with the gate you want.
